The Colorado State Republican Party Officially Calls SD-12 one of its most critical races for Republicans in 2024;

Stan Vanderwerf, current El Paso County Commissioner, is running to claim Senator Bob Gardner's seat in SD-12, which encompasses El Paso County and a small part of Teller County. SD-12 leans slightly Republican, and Stan's challenger is current Democrat State Representative Marc Snyder, an avid progressive who supports raising taxes to fund illegals and trans indoctrination in schools.

Marc Snyder voted for Prop HH to be placed on the ballot. He has voted for EVERY greenhouse gas bill. Snyder is the SPONSOR of HB24-1174-the concealed carry bill that just passed, which will cost law abiding gun owners $100M over the next five years. According to the Colorado Union of Taxpayer's 2023 report, Marc Snyder actually voted LEFT of Elisabeth Epps, the Hamas supporter.  Marc Snyder harms the free market, he doesn't listen to his constituents, his policies make everything more expensive, he supports illegal immigrants, and he has voted for bills that harm public safety. Snyder is on the exact wrong side of issues concerning the economy, public safety, and immigration. Marc Snyder is a hardened progressive who wants to take our guns, raise our taxes, and groom more children by way of encouraging them to transition behind their parents’ backs. 

Stan Vanderwerf, a combat veteran, has now served almost eight years as El Paso County Commissioner. Stan has an excellent reputation with constituents. He serves as President of the Pikes Peak Firearms Coalition and has served as President of Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments. As a County Commissioner, Stan Vanderwerf declared El Paso County to be a non-sanctuary county. He has fully funded law enforcement for seven straight years, doubled road repairs, quadrupled contingency funds reserves, and added three new parks, all without raising taxes.  As a former Air Force officer and Commissioner, Stan has sworn an oath to defend the Constitution eight times! 

Stan Vanderwerf needs our help to defeat radical Democrat Marc Snyder so that we can prevent the Colorado Senate from becoming a Democrat supermajority like the House. Stan needs walkers, callers, people willing to share posts on social media, and of course money. We all know how much money the Dems have reserved to take more seats and push their anti-American, anti-family agenda in Colorado, so every dollar helps Stan ensure a Republican victory for SD-12 this November!
