Hey JOhn,

I never imagined that I would be here as your Democratic candidate for Congress. When I think back to the younger version of me without a gray hair in sight, I didn’t think I would work in politics forever.

This was me after a regular work day serving in President Obama’s White House.

At the time, the Obama administration was one of the first to bring technologists to the policy table and to use technology to make government services better and more efficient. We tackled some of the biggest issues in the country: addressing cybersecurity threats and updating government agencies for the 21st century.

There is nothing like actually making a difference after taking on some of the toughest fights. It’s why I’ve continued to work in public service — because real people are looking for real leaders who can deliver solutions.

Public faith in Congress is at an all time low, but I’ve taken on big challenges and I know how to get things done — from the White House to the VA General Assembly, now I am ready to take on our nation’s biggest problems in the House of Representatives, but I cannot do it without you.
