Josh Hawley’s latest bill lets members of Congress continue to get away with insider trading.
I’ve got a simple question for you, John.
Why should the rules be harsher for you, me, and Martha Stewart than they are for members of Congress?
Any one of us would get thrown in jail for insider trading. But instead of actually doing anything real to hold politicians accountable, Josh Hawley’s latest bill allows members of Congress to continue getting away with it.
All they have to do is pay a small fee on the millions they make on the market.
This year, I’m running to do more than just enact a real ban on insider trading for members of Congress, judges, and executive branch officials — I’m running to put them in jail if they steal from us.
If you’re with me, will you please add a donation of any amount toward my campaign today? I’m not taking a single cent from corporate PACs, so I’m counting on your help to hold Josh Hawley accountable and get this message in front of Missouri voters before November 5th.

Here’s my promise to you: Send me to the U.S. Senate, and you’ll never have to wonder if I’m fighting for everyday Americans. You’ll never have to wonder if I’m in office to enrich my own stock portfolio — I don’t even have one! And any politician who tries to get in my way won’t have to wonder either.
This is a movement for working people, built entirely by working people — and that’s never going to change. But I need you on my team to get this done, John.
Now let’s get back to work,
Lucas
