After 19 years -- including law school, marriage, kids, cancer and Congress -- there's a lot I could say about my husband, Chip.

I've been thinking and reflecting a lot over the past few weeks, as I'm sure we all have, about family, life and what's really important. 

At the risk of sounding cheesy, one thing has really stood out in my mind about Chip... yes he's driven, smart, courageous, principled and loving. In addition to all that, he's unwavering. 

Chip never lets our family down. He always fights for us. And he fights for the people of his district. 

But there's so much more at stake now in light of this Coronavirus crisis. For our whole country. 

We can count on Chip to do what is right in the midst of the most difficult challenges, and all the time. That's what he proved over and over again in his first year in Congress last year -- ticking off the left and even members of his own party to stand up for taxpayers and "We the People." 

Then last month, he made another difficult call, but absolutely the right one -- to suspend all campaign fundraising so he could focus completely on Coronavirus fallout. 

Of course his liberal opponent, Wendy Davis, took full advantage of that, which was frankly craven and crass. Not only did she keep aggressively raising money, but she attacked Chip frequently while doing it. 

So now she has about $500,000 more than Chip in her campaign bank account.

We really need your help to catch up. Would you please donate right away to Chip's campaign? 

I know that it's a tough time right now for so many people. If you can't give anything, of course we completely understand. 

But if you can contribute even a small amount, it will make a big difference and Chip will really appreciate it.
