AN IMPORTANT UPDATE ON THE 2020 WENGER AWARDS GALA

Dear John,

Due to the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus and calls by the local, state and federal agencies to implement physical distancing measures, WomenHeart has made the hard decision to cancel this year's in-person 2020 Wenger Awards Dinner (originally planned for May 18th, 2020 in Washington, DC). We have taken this step to protect the health and safety of our attendees and adhere to the local, state and federal public health recommendations related to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Named after Nanette Kass Wenger, M.D. a pioneer in women's cardiology, the Wenger Awards Dinner is the only annual event in Washington, DC that recognizes extraordinary contributions of individuals and organizations to advancing women's heart health. WomenHeart remains committed to recognizing the leadership, support and advocacy of cardiologists, researches, policy makers and others to the field of women's heart disease. In that spirit, WomenHeart looks forward to re-imagining a ceremony to recognize this year's awardees later this year. We will keep you informed of updates as plans are developed.
