Make a fruit pizza

Time for a treat! Fruit pizzas make for a delicious and refreshing dessert on hot summer nights. You can make them at home using any fruit you like — including things you might have growing in your yard, like berries. Recipe for fruit pizza

Step 1) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper or grease with oil or butter.

Step 2) Gather all necessary ingredients for the pizza crust and frosting.

Step 3) Whisk together the sugar, flour, baking powder and salt in a separate mixing bowl.

Step 4) In a stand mixer or additional mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, butter, vanilla extract and large egg until creamy.

Step 5) Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Whisk until well-combined and a shaggy dough is formed.

Step 6) Press the dough onto the greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Ideally, the dough is roughly 0.5 inches thick.

Step 7) With a fork, poke holes across the dough.

Step 8) Bake the dough for 15-20 minutes, until it is golden brown.

Step 9) While the crust is baking, mix together the cream cheese, butter, vanilla extract and powdered sugar for the frosting.

Step 10) Wash your fresh fruit and slice them into small pieces if desired.

Step 11) Spread the cream cheese frosting on your crust and top with fruit.

Step 12) Cut your fruit pizza into pieces, serve and enjoy!
