John – we just passed a historic budget in Durham County, and every dollar will make our kids’ lives better.

The NC GOP has made it clear they don’t care about our public schools, pouring millions into private school vouchers instead – with no oversight of the instruction our children get there.

To make it even worse, a majority of vouchers go to wealthy families, leaving lower-income families with underfunded public schools.

I refused to accept that for Durham. Our kids shouldn’t suffer the consequences of the NC GOP’s inability to care about the state. That’s why I fought so hard to prioritize education in this budget – but if we don’t flip the state legislature, the NC GOP can undo everything we fought for at any moment.

While the state legislature continues to fail us, I’m working around the clock to elect folks who actually care about our state’s future. But we need YOU to make sure we can fund these fights.
