This year, I’m running for re-election to continue the fight for Massachusetts families in the U.S. Senate.
Sometimes, that fight looks like delivering billions of dollars in federal funding for infrastructure upgrades in our Commonwealth. Or securing emergency funds to keep child care centers open when the pandemic started. Or cutting the costs of hearing aids. Or taxing big freeloading corporations to help pay for tackling the climate crisis.
And sometimes, that fight looks like campaigning for other Democrats across the country. Because here’s the way I see it: our future in Massachusetts — and in every state across the country — depends on whether we protect our Senate majority.
Because if Republicans take back power — and they’re fighting tooth and nail for it — they are coming after abortion everywhere in this country. They're coming after IVF in this country, and they're coming after contraception — birth control, IUDs, Plan B, everything. Not just in red states, but nationally — red states, blue states, purple states, everywhere.
The path to codifying abortion rights across the country with a new federal law is by re-electing President Biden with a pro-choice Democratic Congress. So on the two-year anniversary of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, I was in Wisconsin campaigning for my friend Senator Tammy Baldwin, who’s in a highly competitive re-election race in Wisconsin.
Then I kept up the fight with a swing through Minnesota to rally Democratic voters for Joe Biden and talk about what we need to do to protect abortion rights and save our democracy.
And I kept talking with dedicated volunteers who know that everything is on the line this year. They know how powerfully important it is to take every possible action between now and November to secure victory. They also know they’re not alone — they’re fighting alongside you and people all over America.
If it makes sense for you right now, will you show you’re in that fight by making a donation of $28 or any amount? I’m doing everything I possibly can to protect abortion rights in Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and every single state in our country, and your support ensures we can keep up this fight through November.
