John, this is easily one of my proudest accomplishments as your Congresswoman:

I'm so excited to announce that my colleagues and I recently launched the Congressional Caucus on Global Migration, a group focused on addressing the root causes of migration to the US.

This is monumental — comprehensive immigration reform has always been at the top of my priority list, and I'm proud to have taken a step toward breaking the mold in how Democrats approach our issues at the southern border. Before I tell you more about why this issue means so much to me, will you support my work with a donation today?

John, when it comes to this issue, I won't sugarcoat things: Democrats have done a terrible job talking about immigration.

We’ve been reactive and apologetic instead of actually moving in the direction that positions Congress to be an effective ally to global efforts that create a safer, more equitable world where people are not forced into dangerous migration journeys to the U.S in search of a better life.

This issue is so personal to me, John. Not only am I the proud daughter of Guatemalan immigrants, but my husband is a Dreamer. So in light of the issues people like my parents, like my husband, are facing everyday, and in light of the horrific ways MAGA extremists will use immigrants as scapegoats and resume boosters, I knew I had to do something to change the narrative.

Now, we're one step closer to increasing Congress’s understanding of: 1️⃣ what factors and conditions cause people to migrate; 2️⃣ what has worked to alleviate those factors and conditions; 3️⃣ what more needs to be done; and 4️⃣ who has been missing from the table in identifying, crafting, and carrying out solutions.

I am honored to launch the Global Migration Caucus as co-chair, and I'm more than ready to address this issue at the root and combat all of the fear mongering and scapegoating MAGA Republicans have done so far.

I'm working hard to advocate for this issue and others that are affecting folks in our communities, but I need your help to defend my seat against a GOP opponent this fall. Will you support my people-first work with a donation toward my campaign today?

Thank you,

Congresswoman Delia Ramirez
