Who Do I Call for Help?

Who Do I Call For Help?

In an effort to properly route the most appropriate resources to emergencies, the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health has partnered with the Los Angeles County Sheriff?s Department, Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles County Fire Department, Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, and 211 LA to create the Who Do I Call for Help? campaign.

This initiative aims to increase awareness of what each County department and agency?s number can specifically provide to assist residents, especially during emergencies and in times of behavioral health-related crisis.

Who Do I Call for Help? also supports the County?s vision of Care First, Jails Last to reduce its reliance on the incarceration system for human conditions such as mental illnesses and substance use disorders. A crucial element to realizing this vision is through Alternative Crisis Response, which aims to treat people experiencing a behavioral health crisis quickly, effectively, and at the least restrictive level of care possible to meet their immediate and long-term well-being needs.

To better support those needing behavioral health care and resources, feel free to download, print, and share these Who Do I Call for Help? materials with your loved ones and communities!
