Social Security is one of the most important programs in American history. Generations of Americans have been able to live comfortably and enjoy their retirement thanks to the benefits and support provided by this earned benefit program that they paid into their entire lives.
But Social Security is once again in danger because of House Republicans’ new plan to cut half a billion dollars to the Social Security Administration’s budget, a move that would drastically hinder the program's ability to deliver for our seniors.
Team, we know Republicans have wanted to cut Social Security and Medicare for decades, and if Donald Trump is re-elected and Republicans control Congress, they WILL do it. That’s why this year’s election is so critical. Not only Social Security and Medicare, but many key federal programs are at risk of extreme GOP cuts if we don’t succeed.
