Dear John,
Two upcoming referendums threaten our checks and balances in the Wisconsin State Constitution. Vote NO and NO on questions 1 & 2 on the Aug. 13 ballot.
Political insiders and special interests added two deliberately confusing constitutional amendments to the August ballot. Their goal is to take advantage of a low turnout election and confusing language to change our constitution—getting rid of checks and balances that ensure fairness and representation for all Wisconsinites.
These ballots would eliminate checks and balances, block emergency response funding, and create more gridlock in the legislatures. You have the power to stop this extreme power grab by voting NO on both constitutional amendments.
