By forbidding transit employees from wearing masks on March 6, New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority may have helped the spread of the coronavirus.

It was disingenuous for the White House team to imply–by wrongly comparing epidemic curves from two different models–that mitigation strategies may have saved two million American lives.

Unlike its European neighbors and much of the rest of the world, Sweden has chosen to keep its borders open, permitted most economic activity to continue, and avoided a mandated lockdown in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.
