Hello Friends, Less than five minutes into her speech, President Becky Pringle refers to the Trump Administration as “corrupt and deceitful,” attacks the Supreme Court, and calls on teachers and administrators to be "activists" who will "transform" the public school system into “something it was never designed to be". Focusing their efforts on "racial and social justice." Don't take my word for it. Watch the video and hear the priorities of the largest teacher’s association in the world. What is clearly missing from this rant are the words like reading, writing, math, academics, or scholastics. Given these radical comments, which were met with cheers and applause, are we surprised many of our students in North Carolina are not proficient in reading, writing, or math? In a letter to Charles Yancey in 1816, Thomas Jefferson said, “if a nation expects to be ignorant & free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.” The Left knows the easiest way to control our lives is to first control what we think. Without knowledge and the ability to reason, we lose the ability to defend our freedoms. We need a Superintendent who will be focused on safety and scholastics, not pushing political agendas in the classroom. This election has never been more important, and I hope I can count on your financial support in my campaign for Superintendent of Public Instruction. Will you invest in the future of North Carolina’s education system with a donation of $25, $50, $100, or more. When the National Educators Association is more concerned with abortion rights, LGBTQ minorities, and re-electing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, than they are with our students' ability to read and do math, we know it is time to make a change. As your Superintendent of Public Instruction, I will focus on school safety, academic excellence, and fiscal responsibility. No more boys in girls’ bathrooms, no more pitting students against one another because of the color of their skin, and no more indoctrination. With your support of $25, $50, $100, or more we will stop this agenda that is robbing our children of their future.
