Hi John xxxxxx,

The only three Republican women in the South Carolina Senate became known as the “Sister Senators” when they blocked a total abortion ban from passing in their state last year.

Last week, following a “sparsely attended” primary election, all three of those women were unseated by anti-choice men.

According to the AP, that means there will be no women in the majority party of the SC state Senate in 2025. There will be two women total (both Democrats) – and 44 men.

We MUST support brave women who run for office — we desperately need their voices in our government. We have seen what happens when women are not in the conversations. Join our movement TODAY to elect pro-choice women up and down the ballot, especially in red states, by rushing $20.24 or more right now →

These women stood up on behalf of the women in their districts against an incredibly dangerous abortion ban, and it caused them to lose their positions of power. “We’ve helped children and helped families and helped the disabled,” Senator Katrina Shealy said. “We’ve helped women and we’ve helped veterans. And what I am so worried about is who is going to do that now?”

We are worried, team — We are worried because circumstances are only getting worse for women in our country, but our representation is plunging to the lowest numbers we’ve seen in decades. There are women on our team who remember a time when their mothers couldn’t open credit cards because they were women. WE WILL NOT GO BACK.

At Her Bold Move, we are working hard to block what happened in SC from happening in other states with abortion bans written by rooms full of men.

We are now turning our sights to Texas, Georgia, Nebraska, Florida – and Tennessee, where only 14% of the lawmakers are women.

The TN primary election is coming up on August 1st, and we are proud to be supporting strong, pro-choice candidates, including Claire Jones for the TN State House, who is running against a man who wants to outlaw contraception and any level of gun control whatsoever, and Allie Phillips who is running against a man who didn’t know miscarriages could happen in a second pregnancy but still helped craft a statewide abortion ban.

Abortion is completely banned in Tennessee, and women do not have a voice. Will you help us rush support to our fiercely pro-choice candidates running for winnable seats in red states by pitching in $20.24 or more today?
