John — Summer is officially here!

Summer means school’s out, and summertime youth programs like Summer Rising and SYEP are in.

Summer means people are enjoying all the city has to offer. Sunny parks and playgrounds, Shakespeare in the Park and Celebrate Brooklyn , delicious food at the Bronx Night Market.

But summer also means more extreme weather — like storms and heat waves — will be headed our way. (That’s why Brad has led the charge in preparing for extreme weather and in using a smart, long-term, pro-climate approach to investing!)

For campaigns like ours, summer can also mean a slowdown in grassroots fundraising as people check their email less frequently, aren’t as tuned in to politics, or are just busy enjoying the longer days.

While people are out enjoying their summers, one of our most important deadlines of the year is coming up — TOMORROW at midnight!

After the deadline, all of our fundraising numbers will be made public — and Brad needs 500 grassroots supporters to pitch in any amount and help us reach our goal.
