One of the most meaningful ways to measure whether a president's economic policies have worked is to examine the change in real (inflation-adjusted) earnings for the average worker. The comparison numbers for Trump and Biden are shown below (through May 2024).
It's a plus $4,200 in wages and salaries under Trump and a negative $2,100 for Biden.
The Progressive machine blatantly lied to the American people for at least two years – and probably four (remember these are the people that kept him locked in the basement in 2020) about the state of Joe Biden's cognitive abilities.
Then they assured millions of voters in this year's primaries that Biden was A-OK and urged them to vote for Biden as the Democratic nominee.
Then they chased out of the presidential primary anyone who dared question Joe's mental health.
Then they disparaged a prosecutor who, earlier this year, declared Biden too mentally impaired and suffering from a "a poor memory" to be prosecuted for hiding classified documents. Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff attacked the prosecutor for being "blatantly political."
Then when foreign leaders expressed concerns about Biden's cognitive abilities last month, they assured us everything was fine and Joe was "just tired."
Then after voters saw first-hand during the Trump debate that there's nobody home inside Joe's head, and that they'd been lied to, the Democratic leaders realized the jig was up.
They looked in horror at Biden's crashing poll numbers and unilaterally decided that it didn't matter that Joe won the nomination fair and square at the ballot box through the " Democratic process." They would override the millions of primary voters and handpick someone else. That someone, whomever it may be, hasn't received a single vote.
And the supreme irony is that these scoundrels are the very same liberal operatives who accuse TRUMP of being a "danger to democracy."
We love the Wall Street Journal (especially the editorial page), but this headline announcing the death of former Republican Senator Jim Inhofe was so disrespectful and insulting, that we had to comment:
Inhofe for years was indeed one of the lone voices of sanity when it came to combatting with science the climate change religion. For that, he was a hero and he's been proven correct.
Here is one of our favorite nuggets of wisdom on the Senate floor from the late Oklahoma Senator:
Climate is changing and climate has always changed and always will. There is archaeological evidence of that and historic evidence of that. It will always change. The hoax is that there are some people who are so arrogant to think that they are so powerful they can change climate. Man doesn't change climate.
A stunning new report from our friends at Paragon Health Institute, quantifies the stunning scale of Obamacare fraud under the Biden administration, with millions of enrollees now receiving subsidies for which they are supposed to be ineligible based on income.
The problem started when Biden made Obamacare "free" (fully taxpayer-funded) for incomes between 100 and 150 percent of the federal poverty level:
President Biden signed legislation that increased these subsidies through 2025, making plans fully-subsidized for enrollees with income between 100 percent and 150 percent of the federal poverty line (FPL). Enrollees in this income range also qualify for a cost-sharing reduction program that raises plan actuarial value to 94 percent with minimal deductibles and cost-sharing requirements. The Biden administration has also pursued administrative actions which have made this coverage more accessible for lower-income households and loosened eligibility reviews.
The result is that, miraculously, many states now have more people signed up in this stated income range than actually exist. The study found:
Overall, fraudulent exchange enrollment appears to be a significant problem in nearly half of the states. We estimate that fraudulent enrollment at 100 percent to 150 percent FPL is likely upwards of four to five million people in 2024. We estimate, conservatively, that this cost will likely be upwards of $15 to $20 billion this year.
As this chart shows, Obamacare enrollees under Biden have overwhelmingly claimed to be in the income range in which taxpayers pick up the full cost of premiums:
5) Chicago Mayor Blames Richard Nixon for July 4 Weekend Shooting Spree – Seriously!
Wit and wisdom from Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, on the more than 100 people shot in his city over the holiday weekend:
Black death has unfortunately been accepted in this country for a very long time. We had a chance 60 years ago to get at the root causes. And people mocked President Johnson, and we ended up with Richard Nixon. I'm going to work hard every day to transform this city. That's what it takes to build a better, stronger, safer Chicago.
Um, Mr. Mayor, the "root cause" of the epidemic of crime in "progressive" cities is "progressive" soft-on-crime mayors – like you. If you want to stop the crime, we suggest you put in a call to Rudy Giuliani.
