As Texans are left to deal with the fallout from Hurricane Beryl, we have to ask … where the hell is our Governor?

According to the Austin American-Statesman, he’s too busy closing business deals in Asia to be a leader for Texas in this critical time.

We wish we could say we’re shocked, but honestly, this is right on par with what we expect from Greg Abbott.

This is the guy who repeatedly let Texans down as cold waves devastated our power grid.

This is the guy who cares more about making life harder for LGBTQ+ kids than he does about actually working to help Texans.

This is the guy who’s willing to jeopardize the health of millions of Texas women, all so he can win political favor with Donald Trump and his extremist allies.

This is the Republican Party that Greg Abbott has built, and we’re sick of it.

Texans deserve a Governor who will look out for us. Texans deserve leaders who will actually be leaders.
