John, I’m Chris Deluzio. I’m a voting rights attorney, Iraq War veteran, and dad of three. I’m running for re-election in PA-17, a toss-up seat that could determine control of the House.

I know I talk to you a lot about how this race is important, but let me lay out the stakes for you:

In 2022, I ran for Congress in a swing district. I was up against a corporate PAC and NRCC-funded Republican who spent MILLIONS of dollars against me. On the other hand, I built a grassroots movement powered by real people - not corporations. Because of your support, I won that election.

For the past two years in Congress, I’ve fought to make a difference for the people of PA-17. I’ve worked to lower costs for folks, to grow good paying jobs, for safe infrastructure, and for a Congress that works for all of us, not just powerful corporations and the ultra-rich. I’ve stood up for reproductive freedoms, decent healthcare, and strong protections for my fellow veterans.

But my opponent who wants to defeat me? He’s embraced election deniers and insurrectionists who tried to help Donald Trump overthrow our democracy. He’s attended anti-abortion rallies, and he supported an abortion ban and amending Pennsylvania’s constitution to take away abortion rights. John, put simply, he is extreme, dangerous, and will put corporate interests ahead of the people of Western PA.

That’s why I’m running for re-election – so that you have a champion in Congress who will fight to defend democracy, protect your freedom, and fight for a better future for folks here in Western PA.

But John, this race is one of the closest Congressional races in the country – and could very well determine control of Congress come next year.
