First and foremost, I would like to express my sincerest thanks to all those who played a part in re-electing me as your MP in the recent General Election. I have spent the past six weeks meeting as many of you across Gosport, Lee on Solent, Stubbington and Hill Head as I could, and it was a great pleasure to do so. I intend to repay the trust shown in me by continuing to carry out my work with a sense of service and duty to our community, which is so close to my heart.

I know that many people will have put their faith in me despite some distrust in the Conservative Party nationally. I tried to fight a positive campaign, relentlessly focussed on my strong record of local delivery, and the care that I have for every single one of the people who live on the Gosport peninsula. It’s in this spirit that my work in Parliament will continue, my attention remaining firmly on standing up for local people and being their strong champion in Westminster.
