John,
In imagining a world where Black people across the diaspora thrive, experience joy, and are not defined by their struggles —
Black boy joy is essential to that.
In the world today, Black boys are robbed of their childhood and joy far too early and often. They are seen as older, tougher, and criminalized from a young age.
Black Lives Matter is working inside and outside the system to heal the past, reimagine the future, and achieve liberation for all Black folks.
We’re proud to share a snapshot of those actions here ⤵️
Our board chair, Cicley Gay, visited King’s Rising Summer Camp a few weeks ago. Thanks to a grant from Black Lives Matter, these amazing kids are able to advance their learning, growing, and thriving at the camp.
Investing in the next generation of kids is essential to our collective liberation.
Together we can continue our work to support and uplift the next generation of Black men. Can you donate $10 today to help support programming like King’s Rising Summer Camp through our grants?
Thank you,
Black Lives Matter
