Republicans push false narratives about noncitizen voting ahead of 2024 election
* The GOP wants proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections. They claim it's to prevent noncitizens from voting — which is already illegal and rare — but the proposal would suppress eligible voters who don't have access to citizenship documents, like passports and birth certificates. Updates on election cases in Mississippi and New Jersey
