Happy Earth Week!

While it may feel strange to celebrate in a time of such great uncertainty, we know that it is important to mark our work together to make the world a better place, and to find joyful moments amidst the struggles. This year marks two important landmarks worth acknowledging: 50 years of Earth Day ([link removed]) and 10 years of Our Children’s Trust. To reflect on these and find moments to celebrate, we’re planning a week of social media posts, events, and opportunities to share with you, our community of support and partnership.

To kick things off, we’ll be posting about landmarks in our youth-led climate change litigation around the world on our social media every day this week to celebrate #OCTbythenumbers. Follow us on Facebook ([link removed]) , Twitter ([link removed]) , or Instagram ([link removed]) to join the celebration!

We’re also hosting a free webinar on Tuesday, April 21st where Julia Olson and Phil Gregory - two of the three attorneys - will share exciting updates about our groundbreaking federal youth-led climate change lawsuit, Juliana v. United States, including how it all started, where we are today, and where we’ll go next. Maybe you’ve been a supporter since the beginning, or maybe you’re a newcomer (welcome!); either way, we welcome you to join us for this informative and engaging talk on our landmark federal case. Please sign up here to join us ([link removed]) on Tuesday at 4pm Pacific / 7pm Eastern!

Lastly, while we usually set a fundraising goal for a week like this, we know that this year looks different for many of us, including our ability to donate. So instead, if you’re able, we are asking you to consider contributing whatever you might feel comfortable with, no matter the size. Most important to us is taking this opportunity to connect with our community of supporters. So, if you can’t give this Earth Day, that’s ok. There will be other ways to help support our work and our youth plaintiffs! However, if you are able to contribute, you can make a donation here ([link removed]) to help OCT, and the youth plaintiffs we represent, continue to fight to protect their constitutional rights to a safe, sustainable planet.

More updates will be coming via email, Facebook ([link removed]) , Twitter ([link removed]) , and Instagram ([link removed]) , so stay tuned. Here’s to a week of celebrating how far we’ve come - and where we are headed next!
