John,

As our country combats an unprecedented public health crisis, it's more important than ever that we have health care professionals leading the fight to keep us safe.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the longtime director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and a trusted public health expert, has been on the frontlines of this pandemic offering scientific, factual approaches to prevent the further spread of this disease. Dr. Fauci has provided a needed voice of stability in stark contrast to the president's response.

But last week, after Dr. Fauci went on CNN and truthfully said that a faster response to the virus could have saved lives -- Trump retweeted a tweet with the hashtag #FireFauci. And this past weekend, Trump refused to condemn protesters who recklessly broke social distancing guidelines and chanted "Fire Fauci."

Dr. Fauci is saving lives and we need him to remain on the White House Coronavirus Task Force. Add your name to join Dr. Kim Schrier in telling Trump not to fire Fauci.

As one of the few doctors in Congress, Kim understands how critical professional medical expertise is in making evidence-based decisions around this crisis. But while Dr. Fauci has warned that lifting stay-at-home orders too quickly could lead to a surge in cases, President Trump has begun pressuring governors to lift restrictions before it's safe. We can't afford to let his expertise get ignored.

John -- how we respond to this crisis is a matter of life or death. That's why we need to make sure Dr. Fauci continues to help lead the fight against this virus.

This is no time to play politics. We need medical experts like Dr. Fauci leading our response to COVID-19. If you agree, add your name to tell Trump not to fire Dr. Fauci.

Thanks,

Team Schrier
