The Supreme Court has officially ruled on Donald Trump’s presidential immunity claim, declaring that former presidents are entitled to "absolute immunity" from criminal prosecution for any official acts while exercising the President's constitutional authority. Because of this decision, we might never see him face accountability for inciting an insurrection, attempting to overturn the 2020 Presidential Election, retaining national defense information, and racketeering.

Unbelievable.

As Justice Sonia Sotomayor said in her dissent, this ruling “makes a mockery of the principle... that no [one] is above the law... with fear for our democracy, I dissent."

This decision is just the latest in a long line of extremist rulings from a far-right Supreme Court that seems hell-bent on eroding our democracy and freedoms, one case at a time.
