Like I said, running for office as a woman is anything but easy. I've been on the receiving end of nasty comments and inappropriate questions over these past few months.

But as the only pro-choice woman in this race, I refuse to back down.

Now more than ever, it's critical that more pro-choice women are elected at every level of government across the country.

The fact that my daughter now has less rights to her own body than I did at her age is unacceptable.

I'm no stranger to being the only woman in the room. These challenges only encourage me to work harder and give our community the representation it deserves. From my broadcast career to now, one thing remains constant – I'll fight for what's right.

That's exactly what I'll do as the first Latina to represent AZ-01 in Congress. But as we move closer to our primary this month, I'm counting on your support. Will you split a donation between my campaign and EMILYs List?
