I met with local law enforcement tasked with catching smugglers on American
soil who work with the Mexican cartels to traffic drugs and illegal immigrants.
Just last year, more than 1.1 billion doses of fentanyl were seized at the
Southern border with countless more evading detection. These drugs are made in
Mexico, from chemicals produced in China, that are then transported across the
border and eventually make their way to communities across Northeast Wisconsin.
Talk to any local law enforcement near the Southern border and they will tell
you that it doesn’t have to be this way. Joe Biden’s passive posture keeps the
Mexican cartels in charge.

In Congress, I will work to finish building the wall, fund our border agents
and take control away from the Mexican cartels.
