Although this avoids the federal ban that Rep. Jack Bergman supported for years, it pushes for state-level laws that could be enforced nationwide.

It means Bergman's desire to imprison medical providers — a measure he's fervently advocated for — will still happen across the country if we can't win back a majority in the House.
