North Carolina’s Governor’s race continues to be one of the most watched races from across the state, and we are still at the mercy of gun extremists at the General Assembly to keep lifesaving laws in place and vital programs funded. Last March, we saw the repeal of North Carolina’s lifesaving Pistol Purchase Permitting system. We fear North Carolina’s Concealed Carry Weapons permitting system may be next if we don’t elect more gun violence prevention advocates to the General Assembly this fall.
