Property and casualty insurer guidance following Hurricane Beryl
The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) issues four bulletins with guidance for the property and casualty insurance industry after Hurricane Beryl made landfall in Texas.
*Bulletin B-0007-24 [ [link removed] ]:* TDI expects insurers to suspend vacancy provisions for policyholders displaced by the storm and work with those who need more time to pay premiums.
*Bulletin B-0008-24 [ [link removed] ]:* TDI reminds insurers about claims adjusting and adjusters, public adjusters, and claim settlements requirements.
*Bulletin B-0009-24 [ [link removed] ]:* TDI reminds insurers about underwriting, rating, nonrenewing, and the impact of inquiries. TDI also reminds insurers about requirements on restricting business and withdrawal.
*Bulletin B-0010-24 [ [link removed] ]:* TDI expects insurers to provide relevant and helpful information to their policyholders about wind and flood losses. TDI also provides additional information on flooded vehicles.
