Dear John,
If you are like me, you have become frustrated with the constant partisanship that has muddied the pro-life waters. Abortion is a moral and ethical issue, not a partisan talking point. Our nation is strongest when it protects the preborn and recognizes their inherent dignity.
Today, I am happy to say that Americans United for Life (AUL) has promoted a stronger America that will honor these lives. AUL’s expert legal team was invited by the Republican National Convention to provide critical language for the official party platform to strengthen our nation’s commitment to the personhood of preborn children.
We did not hold back. AUL drafted language that defends the personhood of the preborn, focuses on our need to support women and families, and acknowledges the importance of fighting for these issue in the states and in the hearts and minds of all Americans. We truly believe that the Constitution guarantees protections for the preborn – protections we will continue to speak up for.
Regardless of who is serving in office, I believe our elected officials must act to protect human life. I am happy to see the RNC take up this language in defense of preborn American lives.
It is my hope – and my prayer – that all politicians will one day recognize the inherent value of preborn children. I have reached out to both parties, and even third parties, to promote pro-life beliefs.
Thanks to you, the RNC said, “We believe that the 14th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States guarantees that no person can be denied Life or Liberty without Due Process.”
The tide is turning, and your voice is being heard. The future of our country is pro-family and pro-life. Thank you for standing in courthouses, state houses, and the capital of our nation, to be the voice for the voiceless.
Warm regards,
