Hurricane Beryl is responsible for at least 11 deaths across Texas and the Caribbean. Our team currently on the ground in Jamaica is reporting that over 60 health facilities have sustained significant damage.
Americares has allocated $100,000 to immediately respond to survivors’ health needs, and we are standing ready as requests for aid come in, such as for replacing damaged medical equipment, hygiene kits, lost medicines and critical supplies.
But the full extent of the damage is still not yet clear. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more about the situation and how you can help survivors recover from this powerful storm.

Subject: BREAKING: Hurricane Beryl devastates the Caribbean
Friend,
Breaking news: Hurricane Beryl has set the record as the earliest Category 4 and Category 5 hurricane to form in the Atlantic. The storm has already caused widespread and extensive damage to the Windward Islands in the Caribbean, affecting an estimated 200,000 people and forcing thousands from their homes. The storm is heading for Jamaica and already bringing hurricane-force winds to the eastern half of the island.
Americares is working quickly to deploy a response team to Jamaica to evaluate the situation and determine the resources necessary to save lives and restore health services for survivors in the aftermath of the storm.
Beryl's rapid strengthening marks an ominous beginning to the Atlantic hurricane season – but thanks to your generosity, we are ready to respond with lifesaving assistance when disaster strikes.
