Just over two years ago, the Supreme Court handed down its Dobbs decision, rolling back abortion rights for millions of Americans. Since then, MAGA Republicans haven’t wasted a moment trying to completely dismantle reproductive rights.

Released in their radical Project 2025 playbook, Trump and MAGA Republicans’ next anti-abortion plot involves using an archaic law from 1873 — the Comstock Act — to prevent women from accessing medication abortion like mifepristone through the mail.

This would make it even harder for women to access reproductive care nationwide — even in states like New York, where reproductive freedom is protected at the state level.

Determined to stop the GOP’s attacks on reproductive freedom, Pat stood with pro-choice groups and colleagues to introduce the Stop Comstock Act — a bill that would take away Trump and MAGA’s ability to use the act to take away freedom from millions of Americans.

The Republican Party is in lockstep behind Trump’s “Project 2025” plan to weaponize the Comstock Act. Pat’s extremist opponent is part of the problem. And this year, even as Alison tries to dance around her dangerous position on reproductive rights, she’s still saying she supports the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision.
