This month, Rob joined a coalition of 22 attorneys general in urging the U.S. Supreme Court to regulate ghost guns.
Ghost guns must stop haunting our country, and our Attorney General is doing something about it.
The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals recently ruled that ghost guns, illegal firearms without a serial number that are often sold as partially completed frames or as parts kits, cannot be regulated by the federal government in the same way that regular firearms are.
Here in California, Rob secured a settlement with gun makers and retailers permanently barring them from manufacturing and selling untraceable ghost guns in our state. But we need these same protections for communities across the country.
That’s why Rob joined a coalition of 22 attorneys general in an amicus brief urging the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn the Fifth Circuit Court’s decision and empower the federal government to regulate these dangerous, untraceable firearms.
Under Rob’s leadership, California serves as an example of how science-backed, commonsense gun violence prevention makes a real, positive impact in reducing gun violence and making our communities safer.
