The war on drugs has been (and continues to be) a war on people of color in this country. A huge part of the war on drugs includes the criminalization of cannabis.
Our work to elect reform-focused district attorneys is so important because they have incredible amounts of power and can decide to refuse to prosecute cannabis related offenses. By electing district attorneys who will refuse to prosecute cannabis offenses, we can drastically shift our entire criminal legal system.
There are far too many district attorneys in our country who are prosecuting and putting people behind bars for cannabis related offenses while others make huge profits.
That is an injustice that must come to an end. And with your support we will continue to fight to elect leaders like Rachael Rollins and Kim Foxx who are transforming the legal systems in their cities.
