Dan Bishop, the Republican nominee for North Carolina Attorney General, cost his state between $3.8 and $5 billion. Let us explain…

Dan Bishop is the architect of North Carolina’s infamous “bathroom bill” — the one that discriminated against the LGBTQ+ community by requiring individuals to use the public bathroom that aligned with their sex at birth. 

The bill was so terrible it had to be repealed after a year, but not before it cost the state billions of dollars in lost economic investments after companies canceled new offices, hundreds of new jobs, artists pulled down their tour dates, and the NBA even relocated its All-Star game.

Extremist Dan Bishop’s fingerprints are all over each of these blows to his state — and now he thinks he deserves to be North Carolinians’ top lawyer?! We don’t think so. 

We have a shot to defeat Dan Bishop this fall, but it’s not going to be easy. The race is rated as a toss-up, and far-right allies are pouring huge sums of money into buying this seat for Bishop.
