James, it’s clear
that we’re all concerned about Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee and the
possibility of a second Trump presidency. But Biden isn’t showing any
signs of moving on.

Activists and Democratic voters are expressing serious concerns about
Biden after his debate performance — 72% of registered voters said in a
CBS poll that the President should NOT run for re-election. And, now,
Democratic lawmakers have started calling for Biden to step aside.

The Democratic Party is scrambling at a time when Trump is getting
stronger with the help of the right-wing Supreme Court AND as his allies
are crafting one of the most dangerous policy agendas in American history:
Project 2025.

Biden is the only one that can decide whether he stays or goes, but our
movement must organize and mobilize to defeat Trump no matter what.

With SCOTUS granting absolute powers to the presidency, including the
power to kill political opponents with impunity, defeating Trump is about
preserving democracy in America. If we fail, Trump has promised to become
a Dictator on Day 1.

When Our Revolution formed out of the Bernie 2016 campaign, we knew
organizing to change the Democratic Party would not be easy. The Party is
learning the hard way (again) that when you ignore voters and activists,
you risk losing an election to Trump.

Even Congressional Democrats are shedding support for Biden remaining at
the top of the ticket.

As the turmoil continues, Bernie is front and center in the fight to
defeat Trump no matter what. In the end, this election is about policy.

Trump will destroy Social Security, make climate change worse, cut taxes
for his rich friends, and continue the right-wing attacks on abortion
rights. Whoever is on the Democratic side must campaign on and fight for a
policy agenda for the working class.

After Biden’s rough debate performance and the Supreme Court’s extreme
right-wing ruling, there is a serious threat of Trump becoming a Dictator
on Day 1.

We need to ramp up our organizing right now, and we need our grassroots
donors to pitch in TODAY. The summer months are notoriously difficult for
fundraising, but it’s the time we’ll need your small-dollar contributions
the most as we ramp up our work ahead of November.
