The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) proposes changes to the rules at 16 TAC, Chapter 60, Procedural Rules of the Commission and the Department.
*What are the proposed rule changes?*
The proposed rule changes:
* Create a new audit system to verify compliance with the continuing education requirements for renewal of a license in certain programs administered by TDLR;
* Allow a continuing education audit to occur after a license is renewed;
* Ensure that a continuing education audit does not delay the renewal of a license;
* Require a license holder to keep continuing education records for two years after the license is renewed;
* Provide a process for a license holder to complete deficient continuing education after being notified of the deficiency.
*When and where can I review the proposed rule changes?*
The proposed rule changes will be published in the Proposed Rules section of the Texas Register on *July 19, 2024*. To locate these proposed rule changes on or after that date just follow these steps:
