Rick said it best. Our mission hasn’t changed. The same job still has to be done exactly four months from today. On November 5th, it’s our responsibility to make sure Trump stays in Mar-a-Lago (or goes to prison).

The past few days have once again reminded me of why American media has turned into such a joke. Since the debate last Thursday night, the nonsense has been nonstop.

Completely ignored in all the hullabaloo is that Convicted Felon Donald Trump – I could stop right there – got up on stage and lied his ASS off for 90 full minutes. And he has gotten a complete and total free pass from basically the entire media and a good chunk of Democrats, too.

I’m here to set the record straight on several fronts. As far as The Lincoln Project goes, our mission remains the same. Our job is to stop Trump, stop MAGA, and save America. Period. Whatever it takes. Not join the chattering class and worry ourselves into a pointless freakout.

Our clarity of mission has never been stronger. And with SCOTUS acting like a wing of the Trump campaign, we know we can’t count on anyone else to save us.

We – you and I and our merry pirate band at the Lincoln Project and the millions reading this with you right now – are what stands between Trump and the Oval Office. Between America and Project 2025. Between our democracy and the abyss.

We are the cavalry. No one else. Other groups have turned tail and run from the fight.

Not us. Not ever.

The case against Trump actually got stronger on Thursday night with his insane lies. All he had to do was look normal and he blew it. He once again made it clear he’s not accepting a loss this time around.  He’s dangerous. And we know it. He could quite literally drive 250 years of hard work into the ground.

We’ve seen him destroy businesses, we’ve seen him destroy the Capitol, and if we give him the chance, he will destroy America. That’s why we’re going to keep targeting swing voters, keep causing ketchup to be flung at Mar-a-Lago, and make him afraid of America. That’s the goal, and it’s not changing.

Finally, my confidence about November has not been shaken. And neither should yours. Every poll still suggests big chunks of Republicans aren’t voting for a convicted felon. And if you’ve been keeping up with my Twitter feed, you absolutely know that Donnie was convicted on 34 felony counts. The fact remains that Trump needs every vote he got in 2020 to win. And I’m no mathematician, but if up to a third of your party isn’t voting for you, that ain’t good.

My main point? Keep your eyes on the prize. We’re ramping up production over here, and could use your help to take down the orange messiah.
