Netanyahu and Gantz Form a New Government: Has the countdown to annexation
begun?

It took over a year, three elections, seemingly interminable negotiations
and an unprecedented pandemic crisis -- but today, Israeli politicians
finally formed a new government.

Benjamin Netanyahu will remain prime minister, and at long last he can
remove the “interim” tag that he’s technically held since April of 2019.
Based on the latest details, he will be able to attempt to carry out
unilateral annexation in the West Bank -- with the approval of the Trump
administration -- beginning as soon as July 1.

For weeks, it’s looked like Blue and White leader Benny Gantz has been
either unwilling or unable to impose conditions that could stop
annexation. So with the new government finally taking shape, has the
countdown to annexation definitely begun? What can we do to help stop it?
And are there any provisions in the new coalition agreement that might
stand in Netanyahu’s way?
