What you need to know: Yesterday was the most expensive Fourth of July on record. The cost of a Fourth of July cookout is up 5% from 2023 and up 30% from five years ago. From last year: Ground beef is up 11%; Hamburger buns are up 7%; Lemonade is up 12%; Ice cream is up 7%; And chips are up 8%. It’s not just food that is costing more this year – people wanting to celebrate with fireworks will feel it, too. The average import price of fireworks in 2024 is $1.61 per pound, up 42% from 2021. Americans looking to travel for the holiday weekend will face high travel costs. In July 2019, gas prices hovered around $2.75 per gallon. Today, gas prices are averaging $3.50 per gallon and expected to rise. Since 2019, hotel prices are up 13% while the cost of eating out is up 30%. Vacationing in 2024 will cost 15% more than it did pre-pandemic. More than a third of Americans plan to go into debt this summer for vacations. Other Americans are forgoing summer travels, with 65% citing affordability as the main issue. Nearly two-thirds of Americans don’t believe the founding fathers would be satisfied with the Biden economy. The bottom line: “Bidenomics” has hit yet another American celebration! With prices soaring across the board, American families are struggling to keep up. Come November, Americans will celebrate their independence from “Bidenomics.”     Presented Without Comment   Republican Party of Arkansas | 1201 W. 6th St | Little Rock, AR 72201 US Unsubscribe | Update Profile | Constant Contact Data Notice
