In an alarming admission, California’s own Attorney General Xavier Becerra has openly admitted that in the case of an emergency, “OF COURSE” the state can curtail our rights – this is a stunning declaration by the top law enforcement officer in our state. Once again, elected officials seem to have no problem acting like self-appointed tyrants. This is dangerous – no two ways about it. Read about it below.

As we reported last week, Democrat Assemblyman Miguel Santiago officially requested that the Governor suspend all firearm and ammunition sales, citing the perpetuation of a “cycle of public panic and impulsive action.” Rather than protecting our homes and families with a firearm, Santiago has another idea: instead, he says we should be armed with “strong safeguards on public health and safety.”

Last GOC checked, social distancing from an armed intruder is not going to help anyone, and a mask offers zero protection from the spread of looting or any other crime for that matter.  We are still waiting to hear Governor Newsom’s response to this outlandish request AND the one made by GOC regarding his Executive Order on the essential nature of gun stores. Stay tuned!

Also, the horrific shooting in Canada has that country on edge – our sincerest prayers are with our neighbor to the north.

GOC’s Executive Director Sam Paredes has recently been contacted by both national and local media on how COVID-10 has impacted gun sales – you can hear his interview on Insight with Beth Ruyak (Capitol Public Radio) here.
