“It was funny. It was gross, but I learned very quickly it could tell us so much about our prehistoric past and how important they are to the fossil record.”

I hope everyone enjoyed the Independence holiday. I celebrated with my family at the Royal Palm park with our North Phoenix neighbors. We love this celebration and have so much fun there every year. Thank you to the neighborhood for organizing and the local businesses and community groups that participated!

Stay cool as we enter peak summer heat. If you want to help others feel relief, consider leaving cold beverages for USPS workers by your mailbox and keeping mini umbrellas, hydration packets, and sunscreen in your car to offer to those without shelter from the elements.

Thanks to those that answered the survey in last weeks Rundown. The sample size was small, but the results were interesting. The areas of top concern included democracy, public education funding, water/climate, and reproductive rights. While these responses are likely common in other states, they hold unique significance to Arizona.
