"New Democrat Coalition leads the push for using automatic stabilizers to provide businesses, families certainty that aid will come as needed"
-- April 14, 2020

John, now more than ever, Washington families, businesses, and workers need stability and certainty that our health and our economy will recover.

Without a concrete end date for this crisis, we can't risk leaving economic relief up to the whims of Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump. That's why I'm advocating for a comprehensive stimulus package that contains automatic relief funding.

Automatic relief funding will help stabilize the economy and ensure vital assistance programs can continue to support our communities. This way, we can keep the lights on with these relief programs no matter how things develop in the future.

Now I want to know what you think, John: with so much uncertainty, should we put in place automatic relief funds to make sure workers, businesses, and families impacted by COVID-19 can continue to receive the support they need?

Since the outbreak, many have lost jobs, businesses have had to close their doors, and countless families have been thrown into economic hardship. With so much still uncertain about the future of our economy, health care and education systems, and more – the federal government can work together to offer some certainty.

Please take our short poll and let us know what you think about utilizing automatic relief.

Thank you,

Suzan DelBene
