Elise Shares Independence Day Message

On Independence Day, Elise released the following message to the hardworking
families of Upstate New York, the North Country, and America to celebrate our
nation’s independence –

“On America’s Independence Day, join me in celebrating our greatest treasure
as Americans: our freedom.

Let us reflect on the countless lives sacrificed in the pursuit of this
freedom, from the American Revolutionary War battles that took place in Upstate
New York and the North Country to the brave men and women stationed at Fort
Drum today, and vow never to take such a gift for granted. It is our duty now
to continue trusting in our Declaration of Independence and pledge to continue
building a nation that reflects its promises of Life, Liberty and the pursuit
of Happiness.

Let us be courageous like our Founding Fathers and remember that our nation
has persevered through the worst of times. We must fearlessly continue to fight
for America’s prosperity and safeguard the American Dream for generations to
come.

God Bless you, God Bless our brave service members at home and abroad, and
God Bless the United States of America.”

Elise’s Statement on Supreme Court’s Historic Ruling Upholding President
Trump’s Right to Presidential Immunity

After the Supreme Court published its opinion in Trump v. United States, Elise
released the following statement –

“Today’s Supreme Court decision is a historic victory for President Donald
Trump, the Constitution, the rule of law, and the American people. The
President of the United States must have immunity, like Members of Congress and
federal judges, which is necessary for any presidency to function properly. I
look forward to continuing to work with President Trump to ensure his victory
and Save America.”

Elise Introduces Bipartisan Bill to Rename Upstate Park in Honor of
Revolutionary War History

On Wednesday, Elise introduced the Strengthening America’s Turning Point Act.
This bill changes the name of the Saratoga National Historic Park to Saratoga
National Battlefield Park.

Elise stated –

"As Co-Chair of the Congressional Battlefield Caucus, I will continue to lead
the charge to ensure that our many battlefields in Upstate New York and the
North Country are preserved. Renaming Saratoga National Historical Park to
Saratoga National Battlefield Park will more accurately reflect the historical
significance of the site and emphasize the crucial military engagements that
took place there. I’m honored to lead this legislation that acknowledges the
significance of the turning point in the Revolutionary War and one of the most
decisive American battles of the American Revolution."

Elise Introduces Bill to Hold Universities Accountable for Pro-Hamas
Encampments

On Monday, Elise introduced the No Tax Dollars For College Encampments Act
alongside Representative Jim Banks (IN-03). This legislation would require
universities to establish policies or new procedures to address encampments,
building takeovers, and similar disruptions on campus. More importantly, the
schools would need to implement and enforce these policies to receive federal
accreditation.

Elise stated –

“I am committed to ridding universities of the antisemitic rot corrupting our
students and making campuses dangerous and unwelcoming to our Jewish
communities which is why I am proud to help lead the No Tax Dollars for College
Encampments Act. This legislation would prevent the disgraceful mob riots we
saw overtake campuses across the country including Columbia University and make
sure school leaders are enforcing policies against hostile campus takeovers.
Any university leaders that fail to stand up for our Jewish community will be
held accountable.”

Stefanik, Malliotakis Take Action to Punish Antisemitic Universities

On Wednesday, Elise and Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11) introduced the
University Accountability Act to impose penalties on higher education
institutions that fail to protect Jewish students from antisemitic hate,
violating their civil rights.

Chairwoman Elise Stefanik stated –

“I will continue to lead the efforts ridding our higher education institutions
of antisemitism. With this new legislation, the University Accountability Act,
we will impose penalties on universities who violate the civil rights of their
own students including by failing to protect Jewish students from antisemitic
hate. Hardworking taxpayers have no interest in funding institutions that fail
to protect their students from antisemitic rhetoric and behavior and this bill
puts their tax-exempt status on the chopping block.”

Elise Receives Endorsement from Police Organization

The Police Officers’ Defense Coalition endorsed Elise for re-election in New
York’s 21st Congressional District. In a letter to Elise, the coalition stated:

“After careful consideration of your positions in this race, it is clear that
you are the only candidate who will work to ensure that the legislative agenda
will continue to include a pro-law enforcement focus.

“Your unwavering commitment to our key issues, such as supporting law
enforcement, fully funding the police, and ensuring that our law enforcement
officers have the resources they need to carry out their duties, is
commendable. We are thrilled to inform you that you received a perfect score of
100 percent on our Congressional Legislative Scorecard!”
