Hi John,
Zoom's security is full of holes, and now hackers are selling access to your device to the highest bidder.
A bombshell investigation reported cybercriminials can buy a code to hack and spy on Zoom users. With this code, hackers can gain access to any numbers of computers with the Zoom Windows or MacOS app. And if you have Zoom on Windows they can access anything on your entire device.1
This impacts millions of people. From confidential therapy appointments to Girl Scout meetings, people rely on Zoom to communicate with others. With this code out there, none of us are safe.
Zoom needs to fix their security issues.
Demand Zoom take action and protect us from these threats now.
TAKE ACTION
After hearing about the exploit, Zoom hired a security firm to investigate. Meanwhile the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) issued a warning about Zoom hijackings. And Dropbox, Zoom’s business partner, was so concerned about Zoom’s lack of security, they put together a team to find and expose security issues with the video conferencing platform.2
The Dropbox engineers reported, “they were stunned by the volume and severity of the security flaws that hackers discovered in Zoom’s code — and troubled by Zoom’s slowness in fixing them.”3
These threats are serious. An investigation is not enough. Zoom needs to take every action to protect their users including implementing default end to end encryption.
Tell Zoom to keep us safe.
Together,
Ayele, Fight for the Future
