FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr went on a conservative radio show this week and lied about our petition to the FCC, which called on the agency to issue guidance to broadcasters about the dangerous spread of false COVID-19 information on the public airwaves.
Meanwhile, FCC Chairman Ajit Pai bashed Free Press and our petition in response to members of Congress inquiring about a different issue — the Trump campaign’s threats to take away broadcasters’ licenses for airing ads that criticize the administration’s response to the pandemic.
