I don't know about you, but the 4th of July always reminds me how proud I am to be an American.

America was founded on the principles of freedom and democracy, and our troops have fought and died year after year defending those values. Hoosier veterans deserve the best possible care when they return from service. This year, I was so proud to pass a bill to establish a Green Alert system for missing, at-risk veterans that went into effect on July 1st.

Those who fought for our country deserve lawmakers who will fight to pass practical solutions to enhance their quality of life, NOT those who spread anti-democratic conspiracy theories. ([link removed])


My opponent continuously uses her social media to spread false, harmful rhetoric about the 2020 election and the January 6th insurrection. I can't think of anything LESS American than defending the violent mob sent to disrupt one of the core tenants of democracy: a peaceful transfer of power.

Freedom does not come free. Actively seeking to undermine our elections is a slap in the face to all of the brave men and women who have given their lives for our democracy.
