John,
Back in the day, we used to have “snow days” off from school.
But with record-breaking temperatures caused by climate change, children these days are more likely to have a “heat day” than a “snow day.” That’s because extreme temperatures are causing schools to close down!
Tens of thousands of schools across the country don’t have adequate air conditioning to stay open. Most of these never needed air conditioning before, but now they do because of the climate crisis.
Will you donate now to help us elect more SEEC climate activists who will fight to keep our kids safe from climate change?
It’s a terrible statistic, but a new report says around 2,000 children around the world are dying every single day because of man-made climate change disasters. Extreme heat and bad air pollution are some of the greatest risks to children.
Schools are adapting to the record heat by altering schedules, moving activities indoors, and ensuring students stay hydrated and safe. But until we address the root causes of climate change, we won’t be able to truly create a safer learning environment for our children to thrive.
We’re asking for your support so we can protect our kids from the worst effects of extreme heat and global warming. Can you please donate now to elect SEEC climate champions who will take action now and not leave this issue for our kids to solve on their own?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately
Together, we can build a more sustainable future for future generations.
