John, As we continue to fight the spread of COVID-19, I know many in our community are struggling with unforeseen financial hardships, loss of employment, food insecurity, and more. To help navigate these difficult times, I want to draw attention to some of the programs our state has in place to provide relief and assistance to Arizonans in need. ArizonaTogether.com is a one-stop shop for information on everything from rental assistance to emergency health services and more. My team and I also compiled the following list of resources that can help: Unemployment: Those recovering from COVID-19-related job loss can file for Unemployment Insurance Benefits online, by phone, or by mail. To apply, you’ll need to provide your social security number, mailing address, driver license or state-issued ID number, and employment history. Visit the Department of Economic Security’s website for more information. Small business relief: Small business owners who are facing financial hardships can apply for emergency loan assistance. To find out if your small business is eligible for relief, see the Chamber of Commerce’s checklist. Childcare assistance: Arizona Enrichment Centers can help provide free childcare for healthcare professionals, first responders, and other essential workers.
